CANCELLED **Fall Arts Weekend — Nature Photography

October 11 - 13, 2013

Join Tom Barnes, Ph.D. for a weekend photographing the outstanding fall color and wildflowers around Pine Mountain. This tour/workshop will allow participants ranging from beginning to more advanced the opportunity to discover the creative side of outdoor and nature photography.

The program will include both indoor and outdoor sessions with most of the time dedicated to shooting outside. Inside sessions will focus on composition and creative outdoor photographs. Field sessions will involve working with participants individually to assist them in developing their own creative skills. Depending on the interest of the group, other sessions might include equipment know-how and using some elementary Photoshop techniques to improve photographs taken in the field.

Tom is an award-winning, internationally published nature photographer as well as being on the faculty at the University of Kentucky in the Forestry Department. He is the author or co-author of six books emphasizing his photography. His work has appeared in books, calendars, publications, magazines and websites and is nationally recognized for his work with wildflowers.

Participants should bring their own cameras and equipment and a USB drive with five images that can be worked on in indoor sessions. If participants have a laptop with Photoshop they are encouraged to bring it as well.
