Weddings
Pine Mountain Settlement School offers beautiful accommodations for your wedding.Our Chapel has 22 pews and will seat 200 people. Laurel House will seat 100 people in the dining hall, which has 11 round tables (56 1/2"), 3 rectangular tables (34"x67"), 1 long rectangular table (32"x106"), and 1 long rectangular table (32"x144").
Arrangements can be made for PMSS to prepare rehearsal dinners and reception foods. Please call our office or contact us for more information.
Wedding Rates
Wedding rates effective July 2006.Package A — $50.00 (Chapel Only)
Chapel use on day of wedding (no dressing rooms or bathrooms included)
1 hour rehearsal (prior to wedding day)

Package B — $150.00
4 hours Facility use — includes Chapel and Laurel House — on wedding day

Dressing Rooms (2 rooms in Westwind- for Pkg. A) — $25.00
Chapel — Additional rehearsal time — $10.00 per hour
Laurel House rental — $50.00 per hour for additional time exceeding package(8 hr maximum any one day from 7 a.m.-9 p.m.)
Organ (usage fee) — $25.00
- Organist must be approved by PMSS in advance.
- You are responsible for payment due the organist
- General assistance, 1 person (includes bringing things in and out of kitchen and heating food).
- Specialized assistance, 2 people (required if PMSS staff are serving, doing dishes or helping to clean-up).
Security Deposit
A $75 security deposit is required once reservations are made.Deposit must be received within 14 days after scheduling a date, otherwise reservations are not guaranteed.
Deposit is refundable after the wedding if buildings and grounds are left clean and without damage.
Deposit is non-refundable if wedding is cancelled.
We reserve the right to cancel if all charges are not paid in full 2 weeks prior to wedding date.
General Rules and Guidelines for Weddings
1. Keep decorations simple, using nothing that will mark or scar windows, floors, or furniture.2. If using candles, place aluminum foil underneath so wax does not get on window sills.
3. Decorating and all clean up must be completed in the allotted rental time. Requests to decorate early will require additional building rental fees. (Requests for additional decorating time will be permitted only if PMSS scheduling allows.)
4. No balloons allowed in Chapel.
5. Do not block campus roads.
6. Do not park, or allow guests to park, in the grass.
7. Use bird seed instead of rice. Do not throw seed inside the buildings.
8. No alcoholic beverages are allowed on campus.
9. No smoking is allowed in buildings.
10. Leave furniture in place. Furniture rearranging is not allowed.
11. It is your responsibility to leave the facility clean.
11. Additional time is needed for reception, so please arrange for it in advance ($50 per hour).
12. Please stay out of kitchens. PMSS staff only are allowed in kitchens, per state regulations.
13. No one is allowed to play the organ without permission from the Director of PMSS.
14. Collecting plants from Pine Mountain campus is prohibited.
15. Deposit is non-refundable if damages occur. If damage exceeds the amount of deposit, you will be held responsible for the full cost of repair.
