Faith-Based Economic Development

June 22 - 23, 2017

Join Steve Corbett, author of "When Helping Hurts" for a day of instruction, dialogue and inspiration on how our charity and mission work may be undermining the very people we were led to assist.

Master the ability to distinguish between crisis relief, rehabilitation and development.

On Friday, three Entrepreneurial Learning Initiative certified trainers will provide registrants with instruction on how to think like an entrepreneur. Each participant will receive a copy of "Who Owns the Ice House?" Building on Corbett's concepts, the Ice House trainers will help you understand how to engage your community's members and inspire them to build a path to success.

Pine Mountain Settlement School in Bledsoe, Kentucky will be our host for the two day event.

This 100-year- old institution features locally grown and sourced meals, the best water in Kentucky and no cell service. It is an oasis for the soul.

Tuition for this two day workshop is a mere $50 and 10 scholarships will be set aside on a first come basis.
